Sycamore Dining Club!
The Dining Club Committee has developed a schedule of events for the coming year. We tried to balance cost, location, cuisine and variety. We will publish the tentative schedule for the year soon. Hopefully, there is a restaurant in the list that piques your interest. We'd love to see you there. Everyone's invited

Below are the remaining Dining Club outings for 2013.
- Saturday May 11 at 6 pm at Sweet Fingers authentic Jamaican Food and Reggae music in San Leandro
- Saturday July 13 at 6 pm at Chef's Experience, upscale Chinese restaurant with full bar, in downtown Hayward
- October (Sunday afternoon to be determined when Oktoberfest schedule is available) at Speisekammer for German food, drink and music at their annual Oktoberfest celebration.
Save the Date for Crab Feed!
Our Installation Dinner Crab Feed will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013. We'll also be raising money for our elevator fund with a raffle and a silent auction! We hope to offer a non-crab alternative for those who don't eat crab.
NEED RAFFLE DONATIONS: We need donations for the raffle. These need not be expensive items, but should be fun, useful or decorative. They could also include a small service you would provide. If someone wants to try to get local restaurants to donate $$ off dinner coupons that would be great!
NEED SILENT AUCTION DONATIONS: We will also have a silent auction for more valuable or specialized items or services such as "I will cook and deliver the following to your home: ...... ", or "I will take you to the airport and pick you up". or "I will photograph your event", or "we will play for ___ hours at your private event", or you might donate a more valuable or specialized item that you no longer use. Silent auction donors are allowed to set a minimum bid price for their items so that nobody has to feel that they have given away their item for next to nothing.
In later bulletins we will be outlining the tasks that need to be done and seeking members to join the committee. By dividing up the work no task needs be large. Members Terry Hunt and Carol Conway are co-chairs; Terry will be procuring the crab and Carol will be planning the dinner and making the pasta sauce and pasta as last year.
